“HAPPY AND SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING” ASIA-LINK INTERNATIONAL DESIGN WORKSHOP 2019 IN JAPAN

Updated: Jan 12, 2022

Workshop along with 3 universities collaborating came from Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) in Japan, Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in South Korea and University of Ulsan ( UoU) in South Korea. The workshop was focused on “Happy and Sustainable Packaging”, and it was held between July 23 – August 1, 2019 at Shibaura Institute of Technology (Tamachi Campus) in Japan.

First, we provided ideas about refilling products or containers of shampoo.

We made sketches of some ideas and shared and discussed.

This is the original idea of our products “ sea life!”.

When finish refilling, kids cut this product along this red line and open it.

Then kids enjoy drawing patterns and make an original butterfly.

So, this idea can reuse refill products as a toy to grow imagination for kids.

See(sea) life can give some good skills to children. I'll show you some examples

first, By using this product, they try to tell with their parents. So they can acquire (아쿠아이어) communication skill. Second, They could get better motor skills by using their motor to play this product.

Third, educational skills. Use this products since they were children even if they become adult, They can be interested in environment and refilling products.

Besides these examples, they can learn a lot of things from this products like imagination skills and so on.

Why don't we use sea(see) life for kid's education!

This workshop was a great experience for me as a design students to join the Asia - Link International Design Workshop 2019 held in Japan and learn more about Japanese culture. I got a chance to visit one of the biggest packaging companies and work with friend from 3 country ( Korea, Thai and Japan.) This workshop give me to try a lot of things such as working with big team, communicate in different languages and culture and manage project in short time. And this is my first time use design knowledge and to enhance networking in academic and research.
